What personal data this site and my business use, why, who it is shared with and the rights you have.

Who I am

This website is run by Shashank Manish Thigale, a sole proprietor based in Pune, Maharashtra, India ("I", "me"). I decide how the personal data described here is used. Contact: info@shashankthigale.com.

This policy covers shashankthigale.com, purchases of my Framer templates and components, and inquiries about client work.

What I collect and why

When you visit this website. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views, referring sites, countries and device types in aggregate. It uses no cookies, does not track you across sites and does not identify you to me.

When you email me. I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write or attach. I use it to reply, prepare a quote and, if we agree to work together, to deliver the project.

When you buy a template or component. Checkout runs through Polar (Polar Software, Inc.), which acts as the merchant of record and reseller. Polar and its payment processor collect your payment details; I never see your card number. Polar shares your name, email address, country, the product, the amount, the order date and any discount code with me. I use this to deliver your link, give support, handle refunds and keep the records that tax and accounting laws require.

Client projects and setup services. If we work together, I process the content and access you share for that project, as agreed in writing. These are paid by PayPal invoice, so PayPal processes your name, email address and payment details; I receive the payment status and your PayPal name and email.

This site has no contact forms, no accounts and no newsletter sign-up, and it does not collect sensitive personal data such as passwords, health information or card numbers.

What I don't do

  • I don't sell or rent your personal data.
  • I don't use advertising trackers or retargeting.
  • I don't send marketing emails unless you have asked for them.
  • I don't use automated decision-making or profiling.

Legal grounds

I process personal data because you ask me to (replying to you, performing a purchase or a project you agreed to), because the law requires it (tax and accounting records), and for legitimate interests that don't override your rights (keeping the site secure and counting visits). Where the law requires consent, I ask for it and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing me.

Who it is shared with

Only with the services needed to run this business:

  • Cloudflare: hosting, security and cookieless web analytics.
  • Polar and its payment processor (Stripe): checkout, payments, tax and refunds for templates and components.
  • PayPal: invoices and payments for client projects and setup services.
  • Zoho Mail: the info@shashankthigale.com mailbox.
  • Google (Gmail): business emails are forwarded to and stored in a Gmail mailbox.
  • Framer: when a template is remixed or a client site is built, Framer's own terms and privacy policy apply to your Framer account.
  • Professional advisors and authorities, only when the law requires it.

Some of these providers store data outside India, for example in the United States or the European Union. They are established companies that protect data under their own security programs and contracts.

How long I keep it

  • Emails: for as long as needed to answer you or finish the project, then up to two years for follow-up questions, unless you ask me to delete them sooner.
  • Order and invoice records: for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require.
  • Analytics: only as aggregated counts that don't identify you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, for visitors in the EU or UK, the GDPR, you can ask me to:

  • tell you what personal data I hold about you and how I use it;
  • correct or complete it;
  • delete it, unless I must keep it by law;
  • stop using it, or withdraw consent you gave;
  • give you a copy, where the law provides for this;
  • name someone to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to (India).

Email info@shashankthigale.com and I will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, access to my business accounts is restricted to me, and I only keep the data described here. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site and my products are meant for adults and businesses. I don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
